The Access Zone is the part or area where the person has a risk tendency of falling, like on-line or area near working edge.

Hazard zone is the area where people can be at a risk by the consequence of working process.

Safe Zone – It is the area or place outside the hazard zone as well as Access zone. 

The technique of rope access safe work, including fall protection, fall restraint must be implemented at the Access Zone. The worker’s at Rope access work connect to the anchor point placed outside the Access zones, so that they are at safe system before entering the work spot. The access zone must be marked with warning signs where required, since the access zone can be all other individuals including rope access technicians. As the Hazard zone is below the working of Rope access personnel, where any item dropped by rope access technician can injure the passerby beneath them i.e. injury by falling objects to the public. Person can also be recruited at above and below the work zone area, to prevent the outside public from being injured.

The safe zone is the place which is outside the rope access work, where the rope access person has no influence at the area. The safe zone spot must be beyond the Hazard zone, as there are the chances of falling object or item bounce and fall considerably far that might be analyzed.

Rope access team must use red tape with the text “Danger, Do Not Enter” to prevent public from entering

Yellow tape “Caution” to isolate the Hazard zone and its access.

Red tape “Do not enter” must be used with the text clearly mentioned “Prohibiting entry”
