Elimination controls for height hazards

Elimination of potential fall is the best choice to control hazards.  Considering eliminating fall must be taken at the beginning stage of a project development process so that subsequent planning, coordination and design can be perfectly initiated. The following points can be helpful to eliminate a potential fall.

• Using Proper tool & Equipment Specific to project

Safe Design

For instance the following can be included at safe design

• Usage of low maintenance building material
• Air condition plants or similar can be placed at ground level
• Install walk-way along handrail
• Usage of guard rails , edge protection, or other safety measure
• Using other ways of Construction process

Few ex. of alternate construction process are as follows:

• Prefabrication of wall frames at the horizontal position, prior to erecting them UP at stand position.
• Pre tilt up Concrete can be utilized instead of constructing concrete wall at the site.
• Initially pre-fabricate the structures at the ground and then install and lift them at the position.
• Pre Paint the fixtures or roof and then install.
• Antenna and Satellite dishes or Air Condition installation and maintenance  from the area which is not at height.

Using Proper tool & Equipment Specific to project

Few  ex. of specific tool are long handled tool like Paint-roller, extensible window brush (i.e brush with long handle)  hence this can reduce the requirement of work on ladder.
